Terms and Conditions

1. The Contract

These Terms apply to any Order we accept from you via our website, mobile app, SMS, or any other platform. Please ensure that you accept these Terms before placing an Order. If you do not accept these Terms, you should not place an Order.

These Terms may change from time to time, and the current version will apply to each Order when you place it. We will notify you of changes to the Terms by email.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an Order. Note that the Terms limit our liability to you in certain circumstances, as outlined in Section 11. Orders with a value of less than $35.00 will incur a minimum charge of $35.00.

If you need to contact us regarding an Order, you may do so as set out in Section 13.

2. Definitions

When the following words with capital letters are used in these Terms, they have the following meanings:

  • App: Laundry at Your Door's website and mobile applications.
  • Event Outside Our Control: Any occurrence or circumstance beyond our control as described in Section 12, including (but not limited to) the unavailability of any Service Provider, key personnel, or key materials essential for providing the Services.
  • Item: Any garment or article collected from you in connection with an Order.
  • Order: Your order for the Services as set out in the order form submitted via the App.
  • Services: Personal dry cleaning or laundry services collected from and delivered to your nominated address.
  • Service Providers: Any third party with whom we contract to assist us in providing the Services.
  • Terms: These terms and conditions, as amended from time to time.
  • We/Our/Us: Laundry at Your Door LLC, 3832 E Sophie Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85042.

When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these Terms, this includes email and notifications via the App.

3. Placing an Order

Please check the details of your Order before submitting it, as we will not be liable for any errors you make. If you think you may have made a mistake, please contact us as set out in Section 13. We will confirm any changes to your Order by email. Changes are also addressed in Section 4.

Submission of an Order does not create a contract between us. A contract is formed when we email you confirming acceptance of your Order.

We will assign an order number to each Order and inform you of it when we accept the Order. Please quote the order number in all subsequent contact with us.

If for any reason we are unable to fulfill your Order, we will notify you by email or text message.

4. Changes to Your Order

You may make changes to an Order at any time before the collection time set out in our email acceptance of your Order by contacting our Customer Service at help@laundryatyourdoor.com.

With your consent and at our discretion, we may make changes to your Order as an alternative to canceling it in the circumstances set out in Section 1 or as per our discretion under Section 8.3.

5. Canceling or Rescheduling Your Order

You have limited rights to cancel an Order as follows:

  • You may cancel your Order at any time before the collection day set out in our email acceptance of your Order by contacting our Customer Service at help@laundryatyourdoor.com.
  • After we have collected your Item(s), if we are affected by an Event Outside Our Control, you may cancel the Order by contacting our Customer Service at help@laundryatyourdoor.com.

You acknowledge that once an Item has been collected, we have begun providing the Services, and any rights of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations or any equivalent law or regulations will be lost.

If you need to reschedule your collection or return window within two hours of the agreed-upon window or outside our office working hours (9 am-6 pm weekdays), Laundry at Your Door reserves the right to apply additional fees for the rescheduling. The reschedule is subject to availability.

6. Our Rights to Cancel Your Order

We may cancel your Order and the contract between you and us in the following circumstances:

  • As a result of an Event Outside Our Control.
  • If you fail to make Items available for collection.
  • If we consider that any Item does not correspond with the Order, is damaged, has no information about its content or cleaning instructions, or does not fall within the Items we accept.

If we cancel your Order, we will contact you by phone or email, and if we have already started work on your Order, we will not charge you anything, and you will not have to make any payment to us. We will arrange to redeliver the Item(s) to you at the original redelivery time or as soon as reasonably possible.

7. Collection and Redelivery

Subject to Section 12, we will use reasonable efforts to collect and redeliver Items at the times specified in the Order, but we cannot guarantee to do so. We will communicate any delays to you by phone or email and strive to deliver orders within the chosen timeslot. However, we exclude liability for any consequential losses resulting from late delivery.

If you are not available to accept redelivery, we will contact you by phone or email to arrange redelivery at your convenience.

If delivery is not possible due to your unavailability, a redelivery charge of $5.00 will be applied for each subsequent attempt. Laundry at Your Door will endeavor to find a suitable redelivery time.

If you have failed to accept or arrange redelivery of an Item for more than 30 days after the specified redelivery date, we may dispose of the Item or donate it to a charity of Laundry at Your Door’s choice.

All collections and redeliveries must be acknowledged. You may arrange to have Items collected from or redelivered to a third party, but this is at your own risk, and the third party must acknowledge on your behalf.

You may request in writing that we leave an Item in an agreed location without providing acknowledgment. If you do so, it is at our discretion and entirely at your own risk, and we will not be liable for any damage or loss of Items redelivered on this basis.

You are responsible for ensuring that we and/or our contractors have the necessary access (including free parking facilities) to carry out the Services.

8. Service Standards

We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with good industry standards.

We will not be liable for any delay or non-performance of our Services where you have failed to provide accurate information in your Order, for example, if an address is incomplete or inaccurate, or if you fail to accept redelivery of Items.

We will not be liable for any Items submitted to us that have an increased risk of damage, including, but not limited to:

  • Items with special requirements or instructions for cleaning.
  • Items with no label indicating cleaning instructions.
  • Items that are damaged or stained.
  • Items bearing an extraneous or hazardous thing, e.g., pins, jewelry, coins, pens, etc.

At our discretion and with your consent, we may agree to provide Services at your risk for these Items.

9. Wash and Tumble Dry Orders

9.1. Checking Items

Please thoroughly check all garments for hazardous items (e.g., coins, pens, keys) as we hold no responsibility for any items lost or damaged during the cleaning process.

9.2. Washing and Drying Process

The load is washed at a 30-degree cycle and tumble dried at medium heat. Due to high volume, we might not always cater to personal requirements (e.g., temperature, washing powders). Please note that the items are not ironed.

9.3. Color Separation

We will separate clothes into lights and darks for you. While we take utmost care, we accept no responsibility for any bleeding or color transfer during the cleaning process.

9.4. Size of Bag

We will measure the laundry by weight. The minimum weight is 15lbs. We will update this after weighing it at the facility. Orders below 15lbs will be charged at the Wash, Tumble Dry & Fold price.

9.5. Damaged Items

We are not liable for damage to items as we wash by the load and do not inspect care labels. For garments requiring special treatment (e.g., leather, silk, cashmere, fur, velvet, and other delicate items), please ensure that they can be machine washed and tumble dried.

9.6. Tagging

Laundry items are tagged by the load and not individually. Therefore, we cannot accept liability for missing items.

10. If There Is a Problem With the Services

If there is any problem with the Services:

  • Please contact our Customer Service by email at help@laundryatyourdoor.com as detailed on the App and notify us as soon as possible. You will not be charged for us to address your complaint.

Complaints should be reported within 24 hours of redelivery of any Item if you believe we are in breach of our obligations under these Terms.

As a consumer, you have statutory rights if our Services are not carried out with reasonable skill and care or if the materials used are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Terms will affect your legal rights.

11. Price and Payment

The price of the Services will be set out in our price list as displayed on the App or at www.laundryatyourdoor.com/prices, and will be the price in force when you place your Order. Our prices may change at any time, but price changes will not affect Orders that we have accepted by email.

Our prices exclude tax. If the rate of tax changes between the date of your Order and the date of payment, we will adjust the tax you pay unless you have already paid for the Services in full before the tax change takes effect.

If a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognized by you as a mispricing, we do not have to provide the Services to you at the incorrect (lower) price.

12. Our Liability to You

We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents, or subcontractors, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the Services, including the right to receive services which are as described and match information we provided to you and supplied with reasonable skill and care.

We are not liable for:

  • Any loss of income or revenue.
  • Loss of business.
  • Loss of profits.
  • Loss of anticipated savings.
  • Loss of data.
  • Waste of management or office time.
  • Any indirect or consequential loss of any kind.

We are not responsible for any deterioration in the condition of any Item which occurs due to any cleaning process we reasonably decide to use, provided that we have acted with reasonable care and in accordance with the care label instructions.

Our liability to you for any loss or damage to an Item (whether caused by negligence or otherwise) is limited to ten times the charge for the Services in respect of that Item (excluding any applicable taxes).

13. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms that is caused by an Event Outside Our Control. If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under these Terms, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you.

15. How We May Use Your Personal Information

We will use the personal information you provide to us to:

  • Provide the Services.
  • Process your payment for such Services.
  • Inform you about similar products or services that we provide, but you may stop receiving these at any time by contacting us.

We will only give your personal information to third parties where the law either requires or allows us to do so.

16. Other Important Terms

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organization, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Terms.

You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these Terms to another person if we agree in writing.

This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
